If people grew up with the original they tend to like it more than the new one. My kids like the new one better, I think the new one is creepy! But then again, so is Johhny Depp!!

I agree that this movie is truly a classic... And that both movies were an adaption of the original book. Just like "Narnia" there are many old movies out there like this - but depending on the time the filming was done - the actors, effects, etc... You are going to no doubt see a different movie. I think that those who simply like the 1st better, just may have a warm spot for it - and that is OK too. LOL, Simply An-G
